Bring it!

Hello Girlies and Fashionistos,

So this year I’m gonna do something to mix this baby up! I want to focus on me and my experiences. I know there are bizillions of blogs to take a look at but I’ll let you know. This will be good. The other day I went outside and had a nice day of 65 degree of sunny weather to think over of what happened in 2011 and what needs to happen in 2012. Currently, Yes, I have officially started my brand. Holla! I have established some of my team members which is amazing and also, what needs to happen within the next year or so. One other thing has also happened to me to that made me change this perspective. My look! I need to look even more fabulous! If I want to achieve what I want to achieve, I need to look the part. So, the sweaters and ties are out and the fabulous body is in. Lets get it done right!

Aside

Recently,  I h…

Recently,  I have been receiving questions on how to spice up an old coat to make them look like we just came off the runway!  I thought this would be so perfect because of how cold the weather has been!  Here are my suggestions!

Pair any winter jacket with a statement piece scarf!  Bright reds, yellows and animal prints are in!  Also faux fur wraps are super hot this season and they keep you extremely warm!   Another great way to make that boring jacket pop, is adding a belt to tie around or a brooch to place on the collar or breast of the jacket!

Fashion Is All Around Us

“Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.”
-Coco Chanel

As earth makes her transition and sheds off another season, from the refreshing, vibrant colors she gives us in Summer to a delicious pallet of warmth and comfort of Fall. It too is also time we make the switch in wardrobe. With that being said one of the biggest trends we see hot off the runway this year is androgyny. Its almost like designers couldn’t decide if they wanted women looking like men or men looking like women, from mannish shirts and suits to boots and hats as well as over sized knits for both. Yet the surprising twist to this “he/she” style is the bright color bursts of reds, yellows and blues that are interlaced with this controversial illusion that we especially saw from Gucci and Burberry. Another major trend we saw was the creation of texture like we see from Dolce & Gabbana’s neon fur collection that will make any blind man see!! And be sure to awaken your inner fetish and dominatrix side with leathers and straps heavily persuaded this year by Viktor & Rolf and Givenchy. Fall and Winter never looked so bizarre but yet intriguing.

Shut Up and Drive! Alexander Wang Spring 2012

Hello Girlies and Fashionistos,

Well this past week has been a crazy one for me and my gang. We went to quite a few parties, toast the town, did some fabulous shopping; but one thing we did the least was to actually make it to the show sometimes due to oversleeping but I had the chance to see the Alexander Wang show to review and it was quite interesting. The trends were almost  there, as for the colors for the season; but instead of Wang following the trend book he went for the full throttle. Nylon, jersey cotton, and exposed separating zippers was his game. As the models went down the runway with non polished hair and dewed wet skin his jackets were versatile bursting full of color and shorts were at the exact print. Although, I am not a fan of this particular collection…I must say that Wang does have some gain. Let’s see if this collection sells.

Get Inspired….Introducing Paige Anderson….

Hello Girlies and Fashionisto’s,

It’s really exciting that there are moments that you have the chance to meet people that blow your mind or inspire you. This past week I went over to the Anderson Studio to talk to co-owner and make up artist/hair couturist,  Paige Anderson. Paige is from Thailand. As a member of a large family one of her dreams was to be a successful businesswoman. When Paige arrived to the United States instead of Paris (originally intended) Paige put herself through cosmetology school, became a top contender of her class, and ended up teaching some students while at Ogle. It only took her a short time before Paige started to assist under top names for National Hair Competitions. During the beginning of her escalating career, Paige met Randy Anderson, Photographer and became the co-owner of Anderson Studio in Dallas, when both wed. Paige is now doing makeup and hair for top designers and department stores ad campaigns across the country , along with establishing a name in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, soon to be national. It was a great pleasure to spend a day with Paige Anderson and feel free to see her work below. Hereby introducing to you, Paige Anderson.
